I was born in Padang Panjang, but I grow up in Solok. Now I am going tell you about Solok. Solok is the city which is located in the high land of West Sumatra. It is about 60 kilometers from the capital city of Padang. Talked about Solok City, it has many interesting places that using for tourism object which can visited.
Solok West Sumatra Lake Singkarak
Solok has a beautiful lake that we called Lake Singkarak. It is the largest lake in West Sumatra that situated in two districts Solok and Tanah Datar. Lake Singkarak is famous for its Bilih fish. This species only lives in this lake and cannot be cultivated outside its natural habitat. As you know, we also can tour with the boat that rented in there. We just pay Rp. 20.000 for touring with the boat. The visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery, cool air, pure water good for swimming and fishing which is the charm of Singkarak lake. It is really funny and I suggest you should try it.
The most famous of Solok is the rice of Solok. We called it “Bareh Solok”. Who does not know about Bareh Solok? Have you ever try bareh solok? As you know Bareh Solok has a great quality and good taste. Bareh solok is becoming the best rice in the West Sumatra. Then, people make a song with title “ Bareh Solok” as proud of it.
Transportation in Solok is not good because there are not enough public transportation there. Mostly people in Solok is using their own vehicle to go to some places. Solok still has many horsecart. I like to ride horsecart to go to the market.
So as we all know Padang is getting hotter today. That is way the best place to visit for someone who ones to have the relax moment and refresh their mind. Solok has great views that are you looking for. You can visited solok anytime.
